The Beginning

This is me at St Bees at the beginning of the walk. It is common practice to collect a pebble from the beach at the beginning and carry it across to the end at Robin Hood's Bay.

We were blessed with good weather, which was fortunate as there had been a great deal of snow the previous weekend, and there was still evidence of this beside the roads.
